What Pinland processes

Pinland reads clipboard content only when you invoke the Pin shortcut. It reads dragged content or files only when you deliberately drop them onto Pinland.

If you enable Copy Selection and Pin, Pinland uses macOS Accessibility permission only to request the content you selected in the active app when you invoke that command. Pinland does not use Accessibility permission to monitor your activity.

Local storage and deletion

Pinned text, images, files, thumbnails, and related metadata are stored locally on your Mac. They remain there until you delete an individual Pin, clear all Pins, or remove the app’s local data.

No collection or sharing

Pinland does not collect, upload, transmit, sell, or share your Pins or clipboard content. The app contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.

Pinland does not require an account and does not build a profile about you.

Network use

The Pinland app does not upload your content to Pinland or to third-party services. The product website does not include analytics or advertising trackers.

Your choices

You control when Pinland reads content, which items remain pinned, and whether Accessibility permission is granted. You can revoke that permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be explained clearly.
